Luke is the oldest of three siblings, yet in most ways significantly less mature than his younger sister and brother. Mel, the middle child / only daughter who inherited their childhood home when their mother passed, has allowed Luke to move into his old room as she attempts to mend the wounds of recent years. Ben, the youngest brother with whom Luke has a long, complicated history, keeps him at a distance and is not nearly so quick to move past a lifetime of bullying, nor to be impressed by Luke's recent adventures working at a vineyard in Napa Valley. The two people firmly in Luke's corner would be their father Gary, and their beloved Aunt Barb (sister of their late mother), but in both cases, their support may be rooted in their maneuvering to secure control of their late mother's business, which has been in dispute since she passed. Add to this Luke's status as the odd man out at a party where everyone else has an ally (with his long history of sexual conquests failing to yield a companion with whom to navigate the storm at his side) as well as copious drinking, and the fine line between lone wolf and caged animal is getting awfully fuzzy....
