About the Job

We’ll need an actor who is great at physical comedy and who has hopefully worked with prosthetics in the past. Talent with creature work experience, known to contort their bodies. Think of Andy Serkis, Doug Jones, or Michael Sielaff as excellent character scarecrow types. Using subtle eye movements, as if the rest of the body is slightly disconnected, will enhance the situation. To add another layer of humor, maybe his hands don’t move naturally on the keyboard. This scarecrow is using straw-filled gloves to type up a storm. He is stoic with a side of occasional shade. Scarecrow Glen moved here to the big city from… Kansas. Growing up on a farm, he didn’t see much in terms of technology or people. His neighbors, a murder of crows, spent day and night screeching in his ear, with an unwanted peck from time to time. After he lost a straw-filled finger in an argument over irrigation, Glen packed up his knapsack and flung himself at a Greyhound bus. He hasn’t looked back ever since. That’s because he can’t look back. Glen got confused (cornfused, sorry). When he stepped off the bus to apply for his current job. Glen’s laser-focused attention, with an eye on his screen all day, shows his commitment to his work. Even though he still thinks they sell corn innovation. He should be an improve king.
